Egypt’s Farida Osman, swimmer, Best Female Athlete in Africa 2017



Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman, was honoured as the Best Female Athlete from Africa at the Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) Awards 2017.

She made national history by winning Egypt’s first ever medal at the FINA World Championships.

Farida Hisham Osman was born in January 18, 1995. Farida is a competitive swimmer who specializes in butterfly and freestyle events. She is the fastest female swimmer in Eqypt.

With this achievement, the 22-year old Egyptian swimmer dedicated her award to Africa, saying:

Honored to represent all African, Arab and Egyptian Women!”
