Here at GoWoman we believe that Education is a necessary force in the drive for the development of Africa and so we are excited about the Sirleaf Market Women Fund.
A project in the tune of US$25,000 for the renovation and construction of recreational centers for three market schools by the Sirleaf Market Women Fund with support from Petro Trade has been launched.
The project includes Waterside, Logan Town and the Rally Time markets. On Tuesday, the Liberia Marketing Association’s Daycare, Kindergarten and Elementary School at Waterside market received its share of the projected gesture.
At a turning over ceremony, the Executive Director of the Sirleaf Market Women Fund-Margretta Smith said the project is aimed at improving the learning condition at market schools.
“Under a conducive academic environment you tend to learn better. Based on what I see on the faces of the children, I strongly believe that their academic work will improve-it’s just amazing to see them,” she said.
