Nadia Buari’s directorial debut is ‘Diary of Imogen Brown’

NadiaBuariDiaryofImogenBrownYesterday at a press conference in Accra, 31 year-old Nadia Buari, an actress from Ghana, announced that she has joined the growing list of women in the West African film industry to direct and star in their own films. Nadia is best known for her now epic performance in ‘Beyonce’.

The ‘Diary of Imogen Brown’ which is apparently based on a true story is about a woman who becomes a drug addict after a bad break up. The film also features  Jim Iyke, Soraya Mensah, Heba Khaled, Kevin Boateng, Prince Mingles, Beatrice Dadson, Majeed Sidiku Buari, and Jameel Sidiku Buari. Majeed, and Jameel are Nadia’s brothers

‘Diary of Imogen Brown’ will premiere at the Accra International Conference Center on December 23, and Takoradi and Kumasi and the 24, and 26 respectively.
